At noa, I focus on finding and evaluating early-stage built-world startups. I spend most of my time connecting with founders, running diligence from first call through investment committee, and supporting teams post-investment. I also help shape our evolving sector theses and share learnings through our research and stories.
I grew up in Melbourne, Australia, and have always been drawn to the built world due to its pivotal role in important social and economic challenges - especially housing affordability and the energy transition. During university I spent time in politics and the public sector, advising government on innovation and industrial policy. After graduating, I joined Boston Consulting Group to gain a more diverse experience across energy and industry, with a strong focus on climate and sustainability. I hold degrees in economics, finance, and mathematics from the University of Melbourne.
The built world sits at the centre of challenges like climate change, housing affordability, economic development, and security - and it’s also where solutions will have the most tangible impact. More founders are choosing to build here because the physical world is overdue for change. I’m energised by backing teams who can translate deep tech and operational excellence into products you can see and touch.
I’m a recent arrival in London, so I’m exploring the city and making the most of quick trips around the UK and Europe. I also play hockey, get overly competitive at card games with friends, and read widely, usually fantasy/sci-fi or non-fiction.
Other than my home city of Melbourne (which will always have a special place in my heart), I have always loved visiting Vienna. World-class public transport, generous green space, and highly liveable, medium-density neighbourhoods - an urban blueprint that proves good design scales.
